Photoorganocatalysis

In recent years Cross-Dehydrogenative coupling have become one of the major areas of improvement in Organic Chemistry. The C-H activation of ethers or amines using stechiometric oxidant such as MnO2, DDQ or catalytic procedures using transition metal catalysts and stechiometric peroxides have become a useful tool to functionalize these common known as inert positions. However these approachs have several drawbacks such as huge generation of waste due the use of stechiometric oxidants and the use of transition metals. In our research group we proposed as a green alternative to these methodologies the use organic dyes and oxygen as oxidant. We plan to couple this oxidation process with organocataluytic methodologies to obtain interesting products and processes.
