Marta Meazza

was born in 1987 in Saronno (Italy). She graduated from the University of Milan in 2012 with a Master Degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology, under the supervision of Prof. Egle Beccalli. After her degree, she started the PhD under the supervision of Dr Ramon Rios at the University of Southampton (UK) working on the study of new asymmetric reactions for the synthesis of azaarenes through synergistic catalysis, combining an organocatalyst and a metal catalyst. She also studied the organocatalytic photoactivation of organic compounds. After a postdoctoral stage with Professor Karl Anker Jorgensen in Aarhus University (2016-2017), she came back as Postdoctoral research fellow to our group in July 2017. Her research interests include organocatalysis, organometallic chemistry and photocatalysis.
